The Boston Red Sox have turned their season around since we last talked about them here on The 617, going from a bottom-dwelling team that was once 9 games under .500, to having one of the hottest months in baseball this season after a successful West Coast road trip.

But, that’s not to say the Red Sox are perfect or the team has sudden World Series-winning potential. The bullpen is still abhorrent, the starting pitching depth has been tested thoroughly, and there are still major questions surrounding the contract situation of the Boston Red Sox’s biggest homegrown talent in Xander Bogaerts, and Rafael Devers.

After nearly 70 games into the 2022 MLB Season, Ray and Bob will take a look into the Red Sox season, and see where they have shined, from Trevor Story’s show of power and elite fielding, and Nick Pivetta and Michael Wacha’s exceptional starting pitching, to where the problems remain, from offense at first base and trying to figure out what to do with the bullpen.
