Today’s article is going to be a tad bit different than normal. This time I’m going to be diving a bit further into a single game that I love. Normally I list off 3-5 picks minimum, but I want to change it up today. Without proper time to dive deep into all of the games at this time I decided that I’d do research on one game I really like, and share that with you instead. Without further ado, let’s ride. Here’s my NBA bet of the day.

Celtics -6 vs. Bulls

The Celtics come into this game on absolute fire. Jaylen Brown, and Jayson Tatum couldn’t possibly be playing better. Coming off of a electric win against the Warriors the Celtics are matched up against the shaky Bulls.

First glance at this game shows the Celtics with a 68% implied win percentage. Couple that with their recent success against the Bulls and oh boy is this a great spot. In their last 5 matchups against Chicago, Boston has won 4 games, and all but 1 game was decided by double digits including the last game that was a absolute slaughtering. Has both teams changed? Yes, but not necessarily drastically in favor of one team or the other.

The one lack that Boston had during their rocky patch this season was depth scoring. With recent additions of Evan Fournier, Jabari Parker, and the recent evolution of Payton Pritchards scoring they have done nothing but improve. Although the edition of Vuc, and a few smaller pieces like Troy Brown Jr, the Bulls have definitely improved but nothing that makes me think they can now magically contend with Boston. With or without Zach Lavine I see this line still showing value on the Celtics side.

I fully understand that Zach Lavine was missing, but Chicago’s last three games were against Cleveland, Memphis, and Orlando in which the lost to Memphis and Orlando both by a minimum of 9 points. Look folks, I am from Illinois and always follow the Bulls and root for them. They are definitely trending in the right direction, but they are in no way, shape, or form there yet.

I look for the Boston perimeter defense to slow down the Bulls offense, and limit overall scoring opportunities. Only way the Bulls keep this within 10 points, let alone win, is if Vuc goes absolutely nuts on the lack luster Celtics interior defense. On the other end of the floor I find it nearly impossible to find a situation where the Bulls defense can contain this Celtics offense that is rolling right now. Take the Celtics -6 with your NBA bet and thank me later.
