This means most teams are doing well in terms of health and safety, at least as it relates to Covid. Keep that in mind as we take a look at what’s coming up this week and which NHL teams will earn you money.
Carolina Hurricanes
The Hurricanes will take on the Columbus Blue Jackets Monday and Thursday this week before facing the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday. The Blue Jackets are currently 13-12-7 and have not shown any consistency this season,. The Hurricanes should have an easy time playing their game and finding ways to win. The only game to be careful about when choosing the Hurricanes this week is against the Lightning, but hey, sometimes risks pay off.
Colorado Avalanche
The Avalanche have a full week ahead of them, including two games against the Coyotes and two against the Golden Knights. The Coyotes are nothing more than average this season, and their offense has been struggling as of late. Against a solid defensive team, you can be sure the Coyotes won’t be able to generate much and will likely go 0-2 against Colorado. The Golden Knights are an impressive team, so betting on the Avalanche might be a risk if you pick them, but they should at least split the series.
Florida Panthers
The 20-6-4 Panthers have had a breakout season that almost no one expected. Their top performers have come in clutch every step of the way, and they are sure to continue their impressive season as they take on the Chicago Blackhawks and Dallas Stars this week. Expect them to at least split the series against the Hawks and add to the win column on Saturday against the struggling Stars.
With a month and a half to go in the regular season, every game matters for NHL teams. The playoff push is starting now.
