Colby Cummings, host of The Football Discussion and Lets Cash, gives his 2020-21 NFL betting review. For once, 2020 was kind to us.

Super Bowl Review

Before we talk about the 2020 season as a whole, we’ll recap how our Super Bowl LV bets went. For starters, it was NOT too pleasant. We only had 1 play, KC first quarter -0.5 at +110 which was looking fine until a last minute Buccaneers TD. Oh well. But not only did we miss on this bet, I also called out some other bets I liked. None of those cashed either. The Super Bowl wasn’t our best week by any means, but that’s OK because we crushed it all of 2020.

2020 NFL Season

This year was an interesting one in the NFL. From COVID, to Tompa Bay, to Lamar Jackson’s “cramps” we were constantly entertained. The playoffs were a bit of a dud, and the Super Bowl was the cherry on top. But in the end we cashed tickets all year long. Here are the stats on our 2020-21 NFL betting review:

  • Moneyline 70.59%
  • ATS 61.43%
  • O/U 56.72%
  • ML Parlay 68.09%
  • Teasers 60.93%
  • Overall Record 62.83%
  • Over 40 units in profit
    • $100 bettor up $4000
    • $500 bettor up $20,000

How We Did It

Always do your homework. Betting for fun is fine, to each their own. But when our goal is to get you paid, putting in the time and resources to get the best bets locked in was our biggest strength. I, along with a colleague, developed the “Zamites Model”. This was a data script that helped analyze roughly 4,800 advanced stats and analytics throughout the year I felt gave us the best chance of building winning tickets. It consisted of 539 lines of code and 1,700 words. It helped optimize the research process, without sacrificing quality.

We then used this data, along with opinion of players/teams to find edges in matchups. Maybe you felt there was a good chance the game featured lots of running, and that called for a running clock and some under action. Or maybe a team was so hot covering the spread that you felt regression was on the horizon. Doing our due diligence helped us have a remarkable season. Here are the stats on how much work went into the stellar year:

  • 269 Games Analyzed
  • 260+ PowerPoint Slides of notes
  • 47,500 words
  • 182 Bets

Going Forward…
